Packaging Waste Audits & Packaging Reduction Work Plans
A Packaging Audit is an examination of the impact of packaging on waste management needs, activities and opportunities. Our Packaging Waste Audit serves to assess and advance your waste diversion initiatives. We also identify additional waste diversion opportunities through waste reduction, reuse and recycling initiatives.
CD SONTER certifies that our Packaging Audit and Packaging Reduction Work Plan reports are accepted by the following organizations:
- Ontario Ministry of Environment
- CaGBC LEED Programs
- USGBC LEED Programs
- BOMA Canada (Building Owners & Managers Association)
- ICI on Recycle (Quebec)
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management System

Ontario Ministry of Environment Regulations:

Every 2 years after the initial audit, the audit, audit report and Packaging Reduction Work Plan must be updated.
Our Waste Audits and 3Rs Programs have always been accepted by the Ontario Ministry of Environment (MoE). We guarantee that our Waste Audits and 3Rs Programs will meet and exceed the MoE requirements.
We can assist you if the Ministry of Environment has issued your property with a citation.
Contact us to confirm if your property or facility meets these requirements.
We recommend that all properties and facilities conduct waste audits to measure their recycling efforts and implement waste reduction strategies.
