Project Manager, Sustainability – Awards & Certifications Division

We are seeking a Project Manager, Sustainability Services that will be part of our Awards & Certifications division. This position will be responsible for the planning, organization and completion of awards and certifications projects while ensuring that these projects are completed on time, and within budget and scope. This role requires an assertive, poised, committed and detail-oriented leader that is willing to go above and beyond to ensure project success at all times. This position reports to the division Director and offers flexible working hours and work remote.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Project Management:

  • Manage full cycle awards and certifications projects  
  • Provide regular updates/communication to the Director confirming project status, successes, and challenges
  • Write proficient award submissions, which highlight the client’s initiatives for optimum certification results
  • Prepare clients for onsite verification meetings
  • Lead client presentations
  • Project manage awards and certifications audits and assessments
  • Ensure all projects are completed accurately, on-schedule, within budget and to the highest standards 
  • Address any project-related issues and provide solutions 
  • Conduct energy, water and indoor air quality audits
  • Conduct stakeholder engagement events when required
  • Conduct waste audits when required

Leadership & Innovation: 

  • Provide training, support and guidance to staff where applicable 
  • Identify any opportunities to further enhance processes and best practices 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Environmental, or related field
  • 3+ years sustainability consulting experience
  • 3+ years project management experience specific to BOMA BEST, Fitwel or BOMA Awards 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills; able to interact well with diverse groups of people
  • Leading presentations 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills; thrives in environments managing multiple projects
  • Takes a well-ordered and logical approach when analyzing problems, organizing work, and planning action
  • Working additional time when required to ensure that all project deadlines are met
  • Available to travel locally and nationally when required
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Access to a vehicle is an asset
