Priscilla Spelko
Manager, Sustainability Services
Priscilla completed her undergraduate degree with the University of Waterloo majoring in Environment and Resource Studies with a minor in Geography and Environmental Management. She also completed over the course of her program, a two-year coop experience with Dufferin County focusing on residential waste diversion programs and over 40 educational presentations focused on various items (waste reduction, vermicomposting, recycling, plastics, landfills, etc.) in both primary and secondary institutions within the region. She has strengthened her knowledge base in sustainability and has over the course of 3.5 years worked her way up to an Associate Manager position. She oversees the coordination and scheduling of projects, team performance management in addition to reviewing and finalizing project work within the Waste Optimization Division. She has also been given the opportunity to become a TRUE Advisor through the GBCI and complete the Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management through Western University. Priscilla is currently working on becoming a LEED Green associate through the U.S Green Building Council.
Fun Facts
In her spare time, Priscilla loves to travel and practice her amateur photography skills. Her travels revolve around the opportunity to explore a new city or place and fully immerse herself in the culture and all that it has to offer. Her proudest travelling memory would be climbing the tallest mountain in Slovenia which is Mount Triglav (where both sides of her family are from) and finally claim the unwritten rule of becoming a becoming a true Slovenian.
